Keeper Guidelines
Each team will have a MAXIMUM OF 4 CONTRACTS available to sign players
2. CONTRACTS are 2 year extensions: A=Current Year 2023, B= Next Year 2024, C= Final Year 2025
3. Every year the COST for keeping the player increases by:
50% for players who cost $20 or less
25% for players who cost $21-$40
10% for players who cost $41 or more
All totals rounded up
Example: Bid on player for $19 this year, year B $29, year C $36, contact expired
4. An EXPIRED CONTRACT will result in the player becoming a free agent in the next draft
5. TRADE involving player under contract will include that contract as part of the trade. (Max of 4 contracts on your team at one time)
5b. Trading eligible keepers in the OFF-SEASON requires that all players involved in the trade be kept.
6. CUTTING A PLAYER will result in a salary cap penalty of 50% of what the contract would have been worth during the following draft. If you are in year C of the contract and the salary has already been paid during the draft, then there is no penalty for releasing the player
7. RETIREMENT voids the remaining years on the contract. If the player un-retires you have the right to reinstate the contract but you can choose to cancel the contract with no penalty.
8. Absolutely no player picked up on WAIVERS at any point in the season can be signed to a contract that year
9. All current members will have the first option to be in the league the following year. If anyone decides to leave the league, the person who replaces them will have the option to void any or all of that teams’ contracts or keep the contracts as they are
